31 Jan 19: THE World Bank has said it was impressed by Zimbabwe's public reform systems, saying the "reforms in Zimbabwe can also be a model to follow by other countries in the region, or the world."The World Bank also notes how "a recently elected government has created substantial public expectations of change, and demand for greater transparency and accountability." "The Government of Zimbabwe has taken important steps to reform its public procurement system through a comprehensive and multi-faceted reform program that should ultimately catalyze further development."
