Russia: Russian Goods to Have Priority in Country’s Public Procurement Starting 2017

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree giving priority to Russian goods and services over foreign ones in government procurement starting next year, a document published on the official Russian government website says. The decree will come into force on January 1, 2017."Set a priority for goods of Russian origin, work and services carried out or rendered by Russian individuals, in carrying out the procurement of goods, work and services… over goods originating from a foreign country, work and services carried out or rendered by foreign persons," the Friday document says.
