31 Jul 19: Stricter monitoring measures have been implemented at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information, in relation to resource management and procurement. Minister with responsibility for Education Karl Samuda made the announcement today while giving his contribution to the sectoral debate. The enforced measures come in the wake of a damming report from the Auditor General, regarding breach of procurement guidelines, in the awarding of contracts, some to the Caribbean Maritime University, for school construction, maintenance and repairs.
