29 Jul 19: Bahrain will be a testbed for new guidelines on the procurement of artificial intelligence in the public sector in partnership with the UK. The guidelines produced by the World Economic Forum aim to tap the huge potential of AI to streamline and transform service delivery for governments. The WEF teamed up the UK government to design and assess the guidelines, which Bahrain will pilot and provide feedback on. The announcement was made by the WEF and Bahrain’s Economic Development Board – the public agency tasked with attracting investment to the kingdom – at the WEF Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian, China.
