Australia: NSW Government boosts Aboriginal procurement
25 May 2018: Three percent of the NSW Government’s goods and services contracts will be offered to Aboriginal owned businesses under the state’s new Aboriginal Procurement Policy, which the government says will support 1,000 Aboriginal jobs a year over three years. Given it spends $20 billion each year on goods and services contracts, Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the State Government was in a unique position to offer practical support for the creation of Aboriginal employment.
